Going out on a date instead of following the results.

Though no one would believe it, I'm going out to dinner with my wife with no access to the return data. With my candidate down by a disappointing two points with 11% of the precincts reporting, I'll wait and see what it looks like around 10pm.

Imagine, gentelmen, if your wife asked you to go out on a date on the Superbowl. Personally, I wouldn't care, because I never even know who is in the superbowl. Politics is my sports.

Bill, I think your analogy is flawed. Primaries would be like the playoffs, not the Super Bowl. If Tracy asks you out on election day in November, then it's like missing the Big Game. She might have to face an uphill battle if Obama is in the race come election day, 'cause I think you'll be too excited to leave.

I agree, Timbo. Its just that I've been much more excited about todays race than I ever have been about a super bowl.
