Alaskan legislative findings that Palin broke ethics regulations have any effect on the race?
I don't think it will really affect much. People who were inclined to dislike or detest Palin will see this as vindication, whereas those who have taken her as their party's savior will see a politically motivated witch hunt. It may hurt her with the independent voters, but frankly she was beginning to tank with them anyway, especially as she has been on attack dog duty for the last week.
I just read that Palin has a -20 favorable rating: 36 favorable and 56 unfavorable. I guess she hasn't hit Bush's 20% favorable rating yet, but she is certainly lower than anyone in the middle of a campaign can sustainably be.
