This was on my second day at work.  We were leading the singing and drama for our Vacation Bible School program.  It's fitting that someone caught us side by side so early in our relationship.  We spent many hours side by side every week- meeting alone, and with many other people- sharing, and lifting each other and our congregation in prayer.  

It was really a great joy working with Barry.  He had 15 years more experience than me, but he made it a point to emphasize the equality of our calling and our relationship as pastors serving our congregation. 

 It was a blessing to be his partner in ministry.  He was and is a valuable friend.
